Some critics of the Tea Party movement focus exclusively on the fringe in order to distract from the core values of the movement. They will take signs and label them racist- sometimes when they actually are but only by accident because they label all signs and in fact all protest at the Tea Parties as 'racism'. Despite the blaring fact that people of all races and colors not only attend the Tea Parties they also participate on stage and in it's organization. Some lesser know public figures and artists attempt to propagate the MSNBC myth that no black people are at the Tea Parties- some do this through art such as author, artist and agent of agitprop Ronald David Jackson. Call me an odd egg but I don't think the Tea Party movement should cower from the accusation- I think the movement should stand up to such libelous and heinous accusations. We not only believe but we know "that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." It isn't some slogan we label ourselves with to attract followers, this is something we truly believe. It doesn't roll off the tongue like "yes we can" but it certainly has an actual message and an actual meaning. But, it isn't popular to actually quote the founding documents and point to them as something to live up to- it just isn't very cool or hip. You often hear the critics ask "Where were you when Bush was destroying the country?"- well I can only answer with questions, "Where are you now? If you didn't agree with the creeping fascism then why do you defend it so vociferously right now?"
